Abdelmajid
Shamlawi Abed Shamlawi
gathers extensive experience in leading ICT sector development and assisting
public and private sector entities develop and implement their ICT strategies
and envision efficient use of technology in order to increase business
efficiency, he also managed large scale public and private ICT related
projects and NGOs. Recently Mr. Shamlawi has been leading Jordan’s ICT and
BPO Sector Association – int@j towards being an
active champion and a thought leader for the ICT and BPO Sector in Jordan
through advocacy, promotion and marketing, research, and capacity building
programs to the ICT and BPO sector members and stakeholders. |

Abdullah Al Barwani More than 10 years experience in information security management. Graduated in computer science and focused his career in information security and obtained important certifications like CISM and SABSA. Worked in the Ministry of Defense for 6 years before joining the Information Technology Authority (ITA) where he established the first information security management program in the ministry and initiated an awareness and training program for the staff covering multiple regions. Abdullah is currently the DG of the Information Security Division at the Information Technology Authority supervising various national programs to enhance information security within the government of Oman. |

Aedah Hussein Personal Secretary
to the Minister of Telecommunication – Iraq Aedah
has been working at the Iraqi Ministry of Post and Communications since early
2007. During her years of service at the Ministry of Communication, Aedah was directly involved in all the administrative
minister-level tasks such as scheduling appointments, facilitating meetings,
as well as accompanying the minister in the day-to-day tasks and projects
follow up. Away from the
technical and telecommunication atmosphere, Aedah
has a background in fine arts. She has graduated from the school of fine
arts, Baghdad, and she is a painter who has arranged and implemented several
galleries in the Iraqi capital and other cities. |

Aimen Al Hosni Aimen Ahmed Sultan Al Hosni was born in 17 of April in 1976. He has been working for the Ministry of Civil Service (MoCS) since 1999. At MoCS, Aimen has been working as Administration Officer from 1999 to 2000. For the period 2000 to 2002, Aimen worked as Director of Planning and Follow-up. From 2002 to 2005, Aimen was the Head of the Minister’s Office and In 2005, Aimen was appointed as the Director General for Administration and Finance, and at the same time, he was Superintendent of Oracle HRMS Project at the Ministry of Civil Service. From 2009 till now, Aimen is working as Director General of Information and Statistics. |

Bassam Tueini Bassam was born in
1955, graduated from AUB in 1977 and from the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in England and Wales in 1980. Founder of
naharnet.com, the leading Lebanese portal that was launched in September 2000
and attracted 3 million unique visitors from more than 200 countries. He previously
worked at The Olayan Group in Athens until 1995,
and is now running a company specialised in mobile
solutions and content, PowerMe Mobile, that was
founded in 2001. |

Fadi Mobarak Fadi, an American University of Beirut Graduate in
Electrical Engineering and holder of an MBA degree from Edinburgh Business School,
brings with him 20 years of experience in the ICT sector. The multivendor
experience, coupled with cross industries exposure and complemented with
Sales Management roles across the area, gave him the necessary in depth
understanding of the ICT industry, its evolution and where the different

Fadi Sabbagha Founder and CEO at
Born Interactive, Co-Founder and Director at Travel Systems. Fadi is an entrepreneur and interactive communication specialist
with over 16 years of experience in the Internet and digital media
industries. He established Born Interactive in 1996, driving it to become one
of the leading regional New Media agencies. In 2009, he also co-founded with Nakhal, Lebanon’s leading travel operator, Travel Systems
and solutions for the travel industry. Fadi

Beirut on June 24th, 1968, Jean graduated from Mont la Salle College in 1986 Elementary Mathematics Section.
In 1992 Jean obtained a BE in Electrical Engineering from the American
University of Beirut (AUB). In 1992 Jean started working at the Pan Arab
Computer Center as a technical manager. In September 1993 Jean established
and managed Teletrade Computer Systems. Currently,

Jeffrey Freund Jeffrey Freund is
responsible for iTech’s overall business
development and client relations. His focus
remains on long-term strategic planning, revenue generation and financial
management. Jeffrey earned his
Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in
Michigan, during which time he was chosen to study in the Foreign Exchange
program with the University Politechnika in
Warszawa, Poland. Jeffrey has had many
travels as an architect after his schooling in Poland, which led him to
experience and work with diverse cultures around the world. He has now
settled in Abu Dhabi, UAE. |

Joseph Haddad Joseph G. Haddad is
a shareholder and general manager of TechnoMania
SARL, an IT Solution Provider. Joseph holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering
from the American University of Beirut. Under Joseph’s management, TechnoMania transitioned from a tier-2 IT wholesaler to
an authorized direct partner and service center for world renowned brands
such as Acer, 3Com, Lenovo, Targus, Netgear, Xerox.

high-level strategic planning and overall project management expertise. Marc is originally
from Boulogne Sur Mer, France, where he completed
his Masters Degree in Industrial Data Processes at

Paola Chakhtoura Paola Chakhtoura studied Law for two years at the Lebanese
University (LU) before transferring to the American University of Beirut
(AUB) to complete a Bachelor Degree in Psychology with a minor in Public
Health, and then started a Masters degree in Public
Health. She worked as a research assistant at AUB’s Social and Behavioral
Sciences Department, before moving on to the Clemenceau Medical Center,
affiliated with Johns Hopkins, where she worked as a Patient Services

Said Al Manadhari Said Al-Mandhari is the Deputy General Manager of MDS-Oman,
managing more than 85 professionals in the IT & Telecommunication sector.
Said has over 11 years of experience in the ICT sector. Prior to working with
MDS, Said worked in the Government of Oman and was involved in multiple
national projects related to the e-government initiatives. In addition to his
current full time job, Said is working as an advisor for The Research Council
(TRC) supervising Research and Education Projects such as Oman Research and
Education Network (OMREN), Oman Knowledge Identification (Oman-KID), Virtual
Science Library, Researchers Databases and Research Submission and Funding

Salim Al Ruzaiqi Chief Executive officer
of Information Technology Authority As CEO of ITA, Dr. Salim
is responsible for the implementation of the Digital Oman Strategy. Throughout his
18-year career in the IT field, Dr. Salim held

Yasser ElKady Egyptian Prime
Minister appointed Eng. Yasser ElKady as the new CEO
of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) on the 27th
of October 2010 replacing Dr. Hazem Abdelazim whose term has ended during October 2010. Eng.
Yasser will be reporting directly to the Minister of Telecommunications and
Information Technology. In September 2009,
Yasser ElKady was appointed to the position of
First Deputy to the Minister of Investment in Egypt. To support his role for
the Ministry, Yasser was also appointed as a board member for the General
Authority for Investment (GAFI), the principal government body regulating and
facilitating investment in Egypt. As Managing
Director, Elkady leads Cisco’s MEA Strategy and
Business Development, coordinating all SP, PS, Enterprise Verticals and
Strategic Initiatives in the Middle East and Africa Region. Elkady oversees Cisco’s business units in 60 countries
and works directly with Cisco’s Vice President for the emerging markets to

Zawan Al Akhzami Eng. Zawan has worked in various engineering and leadership positions
since 1993. Over the past 18 years she played key roles in the advancement of
information technologies in the Sultanate of Oman. Some of the key projects
she led include developing plans to the Omani embassies around the world to
deal with the Y2K computer issues. She also played a key role in the Omani
