Delegates from Jordanian ICT to team up with companies in the UK

A delegation of four int@j member companies arrived in Jordan on February 6th, a part of a two-day trade mission to the United Kingdom, organized by int@j in cooperation with the British Embassy in Amman.

The objective of this trip was to open channels with UK companies interested in the Jordanian market Specifically and the Middle East region in general.
Making up this delegation were representatives of four ICT companies: CNS Primus, Arab Advisors Group, Ejada International Integrated Systems, ProgressSoft Corporation in addition to the organizers along side int@j.

Intellect, the UK’s counterpart to int@j met with the delegates and was briefed by int@j on ICT opportunities in Jordan.
Delegation members expressed their satisfaction with this venture, saying that the trade mission had been a success, meeting its objectives, as well as personal goals and expectations.
Mr. Amer Nasereddin, VP / Chief Marketing Officer of Primus, thanked int@j for organizing this mission along with the British Embassy of Jordan. He mentioned that this focused mission provided a good exposure opportunity for Jordanian companies in the UK.
"Arab Advisors Group would like to thank int@j and the commercial section at the British Embassy in Jordan for organizing this Trade mission, which has set a good ground for promising future business relationships with the British ICT companies" Mr. Jawad Abbassi / Arab Advisors Group

“The mission was well planed, excellent arrangements. The level of participation of the companies could be better but all in all a very good initiative. We thank int@j and the British Embassy of Jordan for arranging such trade mission”, Mr. Kamal Haddad / Ejada.

"A professionally organized event, the ICT Trade mission succeeded in planting the seeds of sound business relationships between the UK and Jordan, which we, a Jordanian financial solutions provider, will hopefully manifest in future endeavors with UK's banking and financial sectors", Mr. Michael Wakileh/ ProgressSoft Corporation

Sarah Hildersley, Head of UK Trade & Investment at the British Embassy in Amman said: "We are delighted to have organized this trade mission to the UK which was a great opportunity for interaction between the British and Jordanian ICT business communities. The idea of organizing this mission was initiated by our confidence that there is high potential of business cooperation between the Jordanian ICT companies and their counterparts in the UK in a number of areas in which companies have a niche, and it came as a follow-up on the 'Investment Opportunities in Jordan Seminar' that was led by His Majesty King Abdullah II to London last November. We believe that this is only the first step in a journey that will hopefully prove to be fruitful for both the British and Jordanian companies".

int@j’s CEO Mr. Sabri Tabbaa commented:” each member company had at least 10 one on one meetings with British companies; exploring business opportunities that will eventually materialize in the near future”.

Following the success of this trip, int@j is planning several trade missions for the present year to different regions including the Far East, MENA Region and Europe.
