IGF 2010 – Developing the Future Together
Internet Governance Forum is a international multi- stakeholder forum for policy dialogue on issues of Internet Governance. IGF is considered an important development of the World Summit on Information Technology (WSIS), started in 2006. The greatest strength of the IGF is that it encourages stakeholders with diverse opinions and experiences to discuss concerns and move towards a common understanding. Its Secretariat is based at the United Nations Office.
This year the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) "IGF 2010 – Developing the Future Together" will be held in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania, starting from 14 to 17 September, 2010. Within 4 days there will be around sixty workshops held within following themes:
· Critical Internet resources;
· Development;
· Access and Diversity;
· Security, Openness and Privacy;
· Emerging Issues / Cloud computing;
· Capacity Building; |
