Fight against cybercrime is intensifying in Algeria

DAKAR (Senegal)- The fight against cybercrime is intensifying in Algeria through the setting-up of the necessary legal tools and the launch of awareness campaign, said Thursday in Dakar Zohra Derdouri, the head of the Post and Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (ARTP). "In Algeria, the fight against cybercrime has been stepped up owing to the different projects of the creation of legal bodies for the prevention and the fight against all ICT-related crimes," Derdouri declared before the panel of "the fight against cyber threats," initiated by the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR). She recognized, however, that "there's still a lot to be done at the national and international levels in the fight against cybercrime."
