Mtc Touch, a mobile telecommunication operator and Zain affiliate in Lebanon, is the "Supporting Partner" for the "Leaders in ICT" Conference that will be held at the Metropolitan Palace hotel in Beirut from November 1st to the 2nd 2010.
Organized by the Institute for International Research and held under the auspices of the office of the Lebanese Prime Minister, Mr Saad Hariri, the Conference will address the latest local and regional developments in telecom industry. Those countries taking part in the conference include Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and Palestine.
Mtc Touch believes it is crucial to be involved in such an important summit, one which assembles regional decision makers from both public and private sectors to debate on local and regional telecom initiatives and policies, as well as to highlight the latest developments in the Lebanese sector, especially the launch of 3G services in collaboration with the Ministry of Telecommunication.
Mtc Touch also recognizes the forum's impact on the region's telecom sector by the presence of regional government ministers and heads of the various telecom regulatory authorities or TRAs. The "Leaders in ICT" event will also be attended by telecom specialists and advisors, CEOs and Managing Directors of regional telecom operators and other industry figures.
Issues on the conference agenda include privatization, regulation, national policies and investment opportunities in the Lebanese telecom sector as well as the latest technological developments; 3G services and the integration of broadband services in the Levant.
