Tabbouleh Party
The Center for Excellence’s (CFE) presence in Burj Brajneh has slowly developed into a familial setting, where students from different backgrounds can discover different cultures, traditions and norms, and share their own.
The women taking part in the Basic Introduction computer skills training have enveloped and adopted the CFE culture of acceptance and tolerance. On October 30th, 2010 then Lebanese students visited their colleagues at the Palestinian camp for a day of laughter and Tabbouleh. The women enjoyed their tabbouleh, sharing stories and talking about the classes that they are taking part of at the CFE. However what interested them the most was the situation of the Palestinians at the camp. The trip was described as an “eye opener” to the situation and to the living conditions of the Palestinian refugees.
The CFE has become a place where people’s differences are celebrated and embraced. It is an educational center ready to present its students with a colorful learning curriculum as well as life lessons and friendship.
