Mena Telecom to launch new broadband packages

Mena Telecom will today launch the most powerful broadband packages in Bahrain, it has been revealed.

Broadband Internet users in Bahrain can now enjoy higher speeds of up to 18 Mb, higher download capacities and lower prices, with Mena Telecom's latest upgrades.

The new packages come after the completion of Mena Telecom's latest network expansion that increased its capacity to 100,000 subscribers and offers speeds of up to 18Mb for home users and 50Mb for corporate customers.

Completion of 100,000 subscriber expansion facilitated the launch of the most powerful broadband packages in Bahrain.

'Over the past two years Mena Telecom has taken giant strides in Bahrain's telecommunications field,' said Mena Telecom chairman Abdulhakeem Al Khayyat, who is also the managing director and chief executive of Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain.

'We have won the CommsMEA's 2009 Internet Service Provider of the Year award and we are officially recognised as Bahrain's second largest Internet service provider with a client base of more than 57,000 subscribers.

'Mena Telecom has secured the confidence of customers in Bahrain and we are proud to release the latest packages that include higher speeds than ever before, as well as packages with unlimited downloads for both home and business customers.

'In addition, we have many other packages that suit every business and residential need - All these offerings are available at the most competitive prices in the kingdom.'

Packages start from BD8 for home device and BD9 for USB (mykey).

'This is a long-awaited moment for Mena Telecom as we've been anticipating the completion of our expansion,' said Mena Telecom vice-chairman and managing director Abdul Razak Jawahery, who is also the executive manager at KFH-Bahrain.

'We now have the network resources to provide much higher speeds at lower prices than ever before.

'Our packages are not only competitive in terms of cost, but also in performance as our top speeds are actually attainable and reliable'.

New and existing 16e WiMAX customers can get more information by visiting Mena Telecom's website at www.menatelecom.com or any Mena Telecom branch or by calling 07770.

Mena Telecom has recently expanded its network of outlets and can be found at the Bahrain World Trade Centre, Gosi Mall, Country Mall - Budaiya, Muharraq, Isa Town, Bu Kuwara, Hamad Town and KFH Automall, Sitra.

The outlets are fully equipped with the latest device demonstrations and active WiMAX user stations where customers can test the latest subscriber packages offered by Mena Telecom prior to being purchased.
