Orange Tunisia has tested mobile number portability successfully by porting numbers using with competitors' 2X and 9X prefixes to its network. Orange said it was the only local operator to have met the 16 July deadline set by regulator INT eleven days earlier. It adds that while that the test demonstrates that MNP could begin in Tunisia within a few months, its large large-scale launch will only be possible when all market players are ready.
