Yemen Press reported on Monday that the telephone service and the Internet "Yemen Mobile" were cut off from the districts that are located on the border with Saudi Arabia. This lasted for more than 16 hours.

According to local sources, the Yemeni province “Hajjah” suffered from Internet and telecommunications service interruption for most of the directorates of the province.

The sources added that cities of Abs, Midi, Hard, Khayzaran, Al Mahabshah and Al Shaher in the Hajja  province, near the Saudi Jazan region, were completely cut off from communications on Saturday and Sunday.

The sources denied that the cut off is due to occurrence of acts of sabotage of communications cables, pointing the possibility at the Yemeni-Saudi border military action.
