Asiacell launches Smart Roamer service

Iraqi mobile operator, Asiacell announced the launch of its Smart Roamer Service, which offers all Asiacell subscribers roaming with no additional registration procedures. Subscribers can now benefit from discounted rates for local calls as well as call back to Iraq and to other countries within the Smart Roamer Zone.

Iraqi mobile operator, Asiacell announced the launch of its Smart Roamer Service, which offers all Asiacell subscribers roaming with no additional registration procedures. Subscribers can now benefit from discounted rates for local calls as well as call back to Iraq and to other countries within the Smart Roamer Zone. The service also offers a fixed rate for receiving calls and sending SMS within countries that fall under the Smart Roamer Zone. The Smart Roamer Service included a number of selected operators within the region that lie within the Smart Roamer Zone, including Etisalat in the United Arab Emirates, Orange in Jordan, Qtel in Qatar, Nawras in Oman, Wataniya in Kuwait and Turkcell in Turkey. Over 1 million Iraqis currently live in neighboring countries and are expected to benefit from the service.
