Tunisia: 12 schools go ‘smart’

TUNISIAONLINENEWS- Technology

Breaking away from tradition 12 schools this year have done away with blackboards and are instead using smart boards to teach students, as part of a pilot program to introduce technology in classrooms.
With the growing importance of interactive teaching  in classrooms, schools are leaving no stone unturned to make learning a fun process as well as taking advantage at the latest technology.

The aim is to emphasize on interactive learning and to pave the way for the use of digital technology in all Tunisian schools by 2014.

To introduce the concept of “smart class”, teachers deliver their lectures using smart boards which are connected to a computer and a projector. In primary education, learners will use plasma screens as they are easier to handle, however, books will remain an integral part of classroom teaching, the methodology only has changed.
