The U.S. - Lebanon Partnership Fund was formed to raise awareness and funds to aid in the rebuilding, and to create public-private partnerships designed to help the people of Lebanon find the path to long-term stability and economic growth.
‘Partnership for Lebanon’ initiative is driven by a group of global companies including Intel and Cisco, Ghafari Oil and Occidental Oil.
Mr. Craig Barret, chairman of Intel Corporation, visited Lebanon on April 19th, 2007.
Therefore, a dinner was organised in his honour at Phoenicia grand ballroom, on the same day.
The dinner mainly regrouped top V.I.P Business Community, Lebanese and international NGOs and Government representatives.
It also included speeches for each of Mr. Craig Barret, Intel corporation's chairman, Mr. Marc de Simone, Cisco's Vice President, Mr. Aly Faramawy, Microsoft's Vice President, a video documentary as well as roundtables by the end of the dinner.

BEIRUT: The American Lebanese Chamber of Commerce held a special dinner in honor of Intel chairman Craig Barrett on Thursday night. The gathering was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Phoenicia InterContinental. Barrett's visit to Lebanon is part of the Partnership for Lebanon, established by top American business leaders in September 2006 to assist in the country's reconstruction efforts after the war with Israel last summer. Several hundred people attended the dinner, including Salim Zeeni, Sabine Oweis, Salam Atwi, Nada Daouk, Nabil Kettaneh, Christopher Murray, Fadi Fawas and many others.
