“The night of the multimedia in the Tunis medina”

Tunis , October 5, 2007 (TunisiaOnline) --The UNESCO-ALECSO Club in Tunis organized “The night of the multimedia in the Tunis medina” on October 6, 2007 at the House of cultural associations, also known as the “Medersa El Achouria”, in the Tunis Medina.

The event was held on the occasion of the celebration of the month of ICT's from September 29 to October 27, 2007 .

During the evening, presentations took place on October 6, of the software “Ibn Battuta”, from the name of the great 14 th century Arab traveller and historian.

The software program allowed all subscribers of the UNESCO- ALECSO Library to benefit from online training, as well as virtual seminars, besides the consultation of books throughout the UNESCO worldwide network.

A new Arabic version of the portal “Afkarnet” was also displayed during the evening, concomitantly with its French version.
