IT FUTURE 2010

This year’s IT Future 2010 was a follow up to the series which started in 2006. It is usually a
forum that brings together IT CEOs from the Information – Communication Technology
industry for networking, broad synergy, capacity enhancement and strategic focus on the
huge immediate and future potentials of the IT industry to enable, empower and enrich our
economy. The IT CEO Summit 2010 was quite unique in that it, for the first time brought
together IT Industry CEOs in Nigeria and from India, NASSCOM - the National Software and
Services Companies of India.

Also for the first time in 10years, ICT Future 2010 featured an electronic and Personal
Computer exhibition tagged ePC Fair. The ePC Fair will begin a series of such Fairs all over
Nigeria to boost IT trade and services to enrich our economy. This is being done in
collaboration with the National ICT Association of Malaysia, PIKOM.
At the end of the Summit, it is expected that the following would have been achieved:
1. Re-start of yearly electronic/PC Fair which last held in 2000 to boost IT trade and enrich
the Nigerian economy2. Exposure of more CEOs to the Off-shoring and Outsourcing business potentials
3. Exposure of ICT CEOs to critical ICT funding sources and opportunities
4. Match-making Indian and Nigerian ICT CEOs in a B2B for investment, partnership and
networking.
5. Improving on ICT CEOs project management competencies
6. Collection of some up-to-date industry data Event
