Viva awards customers
Viva, a leading telecom service provider in Bahrain and the official partner of Manchester United in the Kingdom, has awarded two of its customers the opportunity to witness one of the top games in the English Premier League (EPL).
Waleed Hassan and Khalid Abdulwahab have been given the opportunity to attend an EPL game between MAN UTD and Arsenal in Old Trafford, Manchester United’s home pitch.
Viva kicked off a promotion earlier this year that enabled customers to win Manchester United match tickets inclusive of airline travel and accommodation.
Viva’s MAN UTD SMS service offers customers the ability to stay up to date with official news services from their favourite team bringing eager fans live match updates, instant scores, as well as live text commentary as the games are happening and all subscribers of this service will be entitled to enter the raffle draw in Bahrain to win tickets for two to see the team play live in the UK, a statement said.
Waleed and Khalid who won the dream trip had a special treat as they were taken on a private tour in the “Theatre of Dreams” by Dennis Irwin, a top left back in English football and now a well know TV presenter and sports columnist.
“This is truly unbelievable, a dream come true indeed. I can’t believe I was setting in the stands of Old Trafford and with not one but three legendary players,” said Waleed as he departed from Heathrow Airport coming back to Bahrain.
The winners also had the chance to wander around the Manchester United Museum that show cases the club’s century old history and then got to watch the game from the exclusive Platinum Lounge having the opportunity to set on the Viva branded seats there and keeping company with football legends like Dennis Irwin, Andy Cole and Andy Ritchie.
“I think that was all a dream and I woke up in Bahrain Airport” said Khalid as he arrived back home to Bahrain. “A true dream trip.”
Viva CEO Ibrahim Al Omar said: “It is great to see the fruits of our partnership with Manchester United come to life as it bring forward our promise to add innovation and distinction to our customer’s experience.”
“This is just the beginning for this partnership as we will make use of the club’s extensive experience to further develop football in Bahrain,” he added.
